Take Time to Pause
12 Steppers can benefit from just stopping once and awhile
I've been re-reading Catherine Ponder's
classic,
The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity as part of my morning meditation
time. I read a bit, do some gratitude work and get quiet and open to
the idea that God is really in charge of my day.
Here's what part of my reading this
morning said:
Whenever you find
yourself hurrying along trying to force a result, call a halt... A saleslady I
know says that when she gets the feeling that she has "so much to do," she does
nothing. Instead, she goes off for a little while to relax, have a cup of coffee
and regain her equilibrium, after which she can usually accomplish twice as much
in half the time.
I just love
this! I can't count the number of times I get to going so fast I end up
exhausted or frustrated or confused.
Yet, when I remember
to just stop, to pause for even a few moments, or for a whole cup of coffee, how
much better I feel. And yes, it certainly seems I get more done too.
When I'm really
surrendered, I remember to include in that pause a prayer or mini-meditation.
The Serenity Prayer always works, so does an affirmation or just asking "what
should I do next?" and waiting for an answer.
It also works to pause
and notice what I'm feeling, or the sky, or the music playing in the background.
Anything to help get into the present moment.
So take a moment,
right now. Pause. Remember to breathe. Say a prayer if you're inspired, or
notice how you're feeling, or what's going on around you. If you have time, pour
a cup of coffee and take a full 10 minutes just to be. You'll be delighted with
the results.
Love, peace and
abundance,

I did a
review of Dynamic Laws of Prosperity over on my writing site, if
you're curious.
