The Courage to Be Rich:
Creating a Life of Material
and Spiritual Abundance

by Suze Orman

Not having enough money and not handling what you have well is a place of powerlessness. On the other hand, facing up to the truth about you and your money is a beginning of stepping into your power.

Suze Orman asks potent questions about your first ideas around money, paving the way to help you let go of damaging money myths.

A large part of this book encourages us to truly value ourselves and our money. Orman shows how financial abundance and spirituality can work hand-in-hand.

The book is also full of plain old practical advice. She doesn't assume you know about money, and she doesn't talk down to you either.

Although some of the stories she uses seem like over simplification to me, most of the book is truly helpful and inspiring.

I particularly like her section on the Courage to Face the Unknown, which might have been titled 'what you need to get conscious about your money.'

She also has sections on home ownership, love and money, and planning for the future. There are exercises that will not only increase your awareness about you and your money, but will help you get organized as well.

This is not a book you'll read once. Rather, it is more like a reference book you'll refer to again and again over time.

I'll give it 4 coffee cups
