One of
the stranger fallouts of the 9-11 tragedy was an email that reputed to
quote Nostradamus predicting the event and more chaos to follow. It was
totally bogus, but indicates the increased interest in prophesy we've
seen since the millennium. If you've paid any attention at all, you're
aware that many of these predictions point terribly difficult
circumstances during the first decade or so of the new century.
Gregg Braden, earth science
expert and computer system designer, has devoted years to studying
quantum physics, prophecy and prayer. Working with what's known as the
Isaiah Scroll, one of the more interesting of the Dead Sea Scrolls
discovered in 1946, he offers commentary and insight into ancient forms
of prayer.
Pointing to quantum physics phenomena like the fact
that an observer effects the behavior of tiny particles of matter
(quanta), he shows how prayer that includes emotion, thought and feeling
has real, testable, potential for changing events.
Braden knits together
information from the Essenes in Tibet, refers to prophecy by Hopi and
other native Americans with hard science to open a world of potentials,
of which the predictions of gloom and doom are only one.
Not an easy read, but a
worthwhile one. This book is for anyone who wants to deeply explore
prayer, and possibility.
